Time

There’s a level some perscribe to
Delusions of grandeur and self worth
Realise rather that we are all nothings
In an unending dark universe

It’s not a crime to be less
Than what societal norms would say
To realise we are just cogs in a big machine
And our lives mean very little anyway

We are here for a time
And it’s short in the greater scheme of things
Death knocks at everyones door
Whether you have it all, or you have nothing

It’s the inevitably of existence
That what you value with perish
It will all be forgotten in time
And there’s nothing you taking with
